12 April 2020
I’m conscious that this has been turning into a bit of a food and wine blog recently, but it is Easter after all. Normality will resume in the coming days I’m sure. But continuing on the culinary trend for now, today was a day of absolutely outstanding eating.
First there was the mid-afternoon cheese course in the sunshine, washed down with a bottle of Hunter Valley white from Constable Estate…
Then there was a rare roast rib of beef, washed down with a bottle of McLaren Vale red from Hugh Hamilton Wines…
Finally, there was pecan pie baked cheesecake…
It was all incredible. Truly.
We also spent some time catching up with friends and family overseas. This morning we spoke to our good friend Matt in Boston. This evening (after the beef, but before the cheesecake) we spoke to both of our families in a single call to toast in Easter. It was lovely to catch up with loved ones.

After all this overindulgence, an early night followed.
Not a lot else to report from today. Happy Easter xx
